CSV IMPORTFUTURES
Import Rithmic Trades to Vigil

Rithmic is not a trading platform in the way NinjaTrader or Tradovate are. It is the order routing and market data infrastructure that sits underneath them. When TopStep, Apex, Bulenox, or Leeloo give you a funded account, the orders often flow through Rithmic servers. R|Trader Pro is the direct Rithmic front-end, but most traders use NinjaTrader or other platforms connected to Rithmic feeds.

This matters for journaling because Rithmic captures the raw execution data. Every fill, every partial, every timestamp down to the millisecond. It is the most granular record of what actually happened in your account. But granularity without analysis is just noise. A list of fills does not tell you whether you followed your rules. It does not flag that your third entry on ES violated your scaling plan, that your total risk exposure exceeded the daily limit, or that you were still in a position when the Rithmic session closed.

Vigil takes your Rithmic fill data -- exported as CSV from R|Trader Pro or any Rithmic-connected platform -- and runs a full compliance audit. The AI engine pairs entries with exits, calculates realized P&L, and checks every trade against your prop firm rules. It handles the Rithmic B/S abbreviations, multi-account exports, and missing date columns that make Rithmic CSVs tricky to parse manually.

How to Connect Rithmic
  1. Open R|Trader Pro or your Rithmic-connected platform.
  2. Navigate to Order History or Fills and export as CSV.
  3. Save the CSV file to your computer.
  4. Log into Vigil and go to Dashboard > Import.
  5. Upload the Rithmic CSV file. Vigil auto-detects the format.
  6. Your fills are parsed into trades. Run an audit to check compliance.

What Vigil Tracks for Rithmic Traders

Trade Entry & Exit

Every entry and exit is logged with timestamps, prices, direction, and position size. Vigil reconstructs the full lifecycle of each trade from raw execution data.

Realized P&L

Profit and loss is calculated per trade and per day. Vigil tracks gross P&L, net P&L (after commissions where available), and cumulative P&L over any time period.

Rule Compliance

Every trade is audited against your personal trading rules and your prop firm constraints. The AI engine identifies violations, grades severity, and cites specific evidence.

Drawdown Monitoring

Vigil calculates your drawdown trajectory against your prop firm limits. Static, trailing EOD, and trailing intraday drawdown types are all supported with real-time tracking.

Position Sizing

Position sizes are checked against your maximum contract/lot limits. Vigil flags when you exceeded your planned size, scaled too aggressively, or added to losing positions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Vigil auto-sync with Rithmic?

Rithmic integration currently uses CSV import. Export your fills from R|Trader Pro or any Rithmic-connected platform and upload the file to Vigil. Auto-sync support is on the roadmap.

How does Vigil handle Rithmic B/S abbreviations?

Vigil automatically maps Rithmic B (buy) and S (sell) side abbreviations to standardized entry/exit directions. It also handles multi-account exports where multiple account IDs appear in a single file.

Can Vigil pair Rithmic fills into complete trades?

Yes. Vigil reconstructs full trades from individual Rithmic fill records. It pairs entry and exit fills by instrument and account, handling partial fills and scaling in/out automatically.

Which prop firms use Rithmic data feeds?

TopStep, Apex Trader Funding, Bulenox, My Funded Futures, and Leeloo Trading all route orders through Rithmic. If your prop firm account connects via NinjaTrader to a Rithmic feed, your fills are Rithmic data.
