How to Set Up MetaTrader 5 for Maven Trading

Connect MetaTrader 5 to your Maven Trading account and configure the platform for Maven Trading's static (floor never moves) rules. This guide covers connection, verification, and recommended risk settings.

Connection Steps
1

Create your Maven Trading account

Sign up at https://maventrading.com and purchase your evaluation. You will receive login credentials and a data feed connection string via email.

2

Download and install MetaTrader 5

Download MetaTrader 5 from the official website. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard.

3

Add the data feed connection

Open MetaTrader 5 and navigate to Connections or Data Feed settings. Add a new connection using the server address, username, and password from Maven Trading.

4

Log in and verify

Connect to the data feed and verify market data is streaming. Check that your account balance matches your Maven Trading dashboard.

5

Configure risk settings

Set position size defaults, max order quantity, and any ATM strategies to prevent accidental oversizing that could breach Maven Trading rules.

Recommended Settings for Maven Trading
  • --Set a daily loss alert at 4.0% (80% of Maven Trading's 5% limit) so you stop trading before the hard cap.
  • --Maven Trading uses static drawdown. Your floor stays fixed at opening balance minus 10%. Set daily risk to stay well above that floor.
  • --Save your workspace template after configuring so you can restore it quickly if settings are lost.
